Edith Massey was born in 1918 in San Francisco. She was raised in an orphanage in Denver and later fled to pursue a life in show business. After some traveling and a move to Baltimore, the stars aligned and yet another star was born. John Waters met her when she was working as a bar maid and the rest is history. This song is a tribute to her and features a famous clip from Pink Flamingos. Listen to Letter to Edie.
